Getting started

1. Sign inUse your email and we send a six-digit code, or sign in with Apple or Google. No password to remember.
2. Say who's at homeAdd the other adult in your household and your children. Children don't need accounts — they're counted with you, and their names stay hidden unless you choose to show them.
3. Join or start a groupHave an invite link or code from your leader? Open it. Starting one yourself: Groups → Create, choose the life-group template, then share the link or QR code.

Replying for your household

Open the meeting and tap Going, Maybe or Can't go. One reply covers everyone at home — tick the adults and children coming, and add guests if you're bringing friends. Change it whenever you like until replies close; the host sees an honest count either way.

Hosting

When a meeting has no host, anyone can claim it — open the meeting and tap Host this meeting. Your household's address is shown to the group only for the meetings you host. Admins can assign a host instead, and you can hand it back with Stop hosting.

Food

The host picks a theme, and anyone can claim a dish or add one. Allergies that people put in their profile reach the host as a summary — "two people avoid nuts" — never as a list of names.

For group leaders

• Create a meeting event — weekly, every other week, monthly, or a single one-off — and the meetings appear for the whole season.
• Skip a date and the later meetings each shift along; move one meeting without touching the others; cancel one; or change this and the ones after it.
• Set the passage each meeting is reading, and everyone can open it in their own translation, offline.
• Approve people who ask to join, make someone an admin, or remove a member, in the group's settings.

Churches

A church admin creates the church and gets a code. Each group's admin enters that code in the group's settings, and one church plan then covers every group that joined — hosts and members pay nothing.

Notifications, calendar and the Bible

• Reminders arrive before a meeting for those coming, hosting or leading, and for anyone who hasn't replied. Turn any of them off in More → Notifications.
• More → Calendar gives you a private link that puts your meetings into the calendar app you already use, changes and cancellations included.
• The Bible downloads once (about 4 MB) and then works without signal. Three translations: BSB, WEB and KJV. Other versions open in YouVersion.

Safety

WeGather has no public spaces — everything happens inside a group you were invited to. Press and hold a message to report or delete it; a report reaches the group's owner and admins, who can remove the person. Blocking someone hides their messages from you everywhere. We remove abusive content and the accounts behind it; there is no tolerance for it.

Your account and your data

• Delete your account: Profile → Delete account. Your profile, household details, replies and reactions go; what you wrote to others is anonymised. If you were the only adult in your household, the household goes too.
• Leave a group from the group's page. Owners hand ownership on first.

Plans and payment

Everyone gets a free month, no card. After that, chat, prayer and documents need a plan — your own, your group's, or your church's; meetings and replies stay free. A plan bought in the app is managed in your App Store or Google Play account, where you also cancel it; a plan bought on this site is managed from your account page, under Finance.
