Privacy Policy

Who we are: WeGather is made by Pernovatio LLC, Michigan, USA (“we”, “us”). Contact: wegather.support@pernovatio.com.

WeGather helps church small groups organize meetings, households, food, prayer requests, documents and group chat. We collect only what the app needs to do that. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.

1. What we collect

Stays on your device only: Face ID / fingerprint (the app only asks your phone to confirm it’s you; we never receive biometric data), downloaded Bible texts, and saved copies of recent screens for offline use (removed when you sign out).

We do not collect precise location, contacts, browsing history or advertising identifiers.

2. How we use it

Only to provide and secure the app: signing you in, showing your groups the information above, sending the notifications you choose (chat, prayer requests, meeting reminders, reply deadlines, hosting, verse of the day), moderating reported content, and fixing problems you report to us. We do not use your data for advertising or sell or rent it to anyone.

3. Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the app. They process data only on our behalf:

Supabase (database, file storage, sign-in, server functions) — hosting region: United States (US East, us-east-1).
Expo (Expo Push Service) together with Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver notifications (the notification text and your device’s push token pass through them).
Apple and Google — only if you choose Sign in with Apple or Google.
Resend — to deliver sign-in codes by email.

4. How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. When you delete your account (More → Profile → Delete account), we delete your profile, household data (if you were its last adult), notes, replies, sign-ups, prayer requests, reactions, notification settings and device tokens, and revoke Sign in with Apple. Chat messages you sent stay in the group’s history but are shown as “Deleted user” and are no longer linked to you. If you owned a group, ownership passes to another admin or member (or the group is deleted if you were alone). Backups kept by our hosting provider expire within 7 days.

5. Your choices and rights

In the app you can view and edit your profile, household, notes and settings; turn off any kind of notification per group; turn off anonymous usage counts; block people; and delete your account. You can also email wegather.support@pernovatio.com to ask for a copy of your data or for corrections. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK, Brazil (LGPD) or California), you may have additional rights; we honor them for all users.

6. Children

Accounts are for people aged 13 and older (16 in the EEA). Children appear in WeGather only as part of a parent’s household, managed by the adults of that household; they do not have accounts.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Every table is protected by row-level security rules so people only see what this policy describes. Files are private and served only to signed-in members of the right group.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
